American Computer Floors, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Robert Schinder, as a full service raised access floor contractor. After being dissatisfied for quite some time with the quality of railings we were purchasing from another vendor, in 1990 we decided to start fabricating railings for our own use.

I became a union ironworker at a very young age and my knowledge of metal working and welding made this a natural transition. As time went on, our product caught the attention of other flooring companies and we were asked to make railings for them. Eventually we discontinued the raised floor business and concentrated solely on the fabrication of railings and became American Custom Fabricators, Inc. Ameri-Rail Modular Railing System is fabricated from partially recycled aluminum, TIG welded to the highest standards with all welds ground smooth and finally brushed to a satin finish to produce a beautiful lasting product for the 21st century. Our railing system is designed to meet the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. When measurements are supplied, railings can be shipped via UPS within 48 hours to practically anywhere in the world with minimal shipping charges.
